CycloCross

Cyclocross is known as a winter discipline and in the UK the season tends to run from September through to February.

Cyclocross racing takes part on an outdoor technical course where you will encounter a variety of terrain including grass, mud, gravel and sand with sharp turns, cambers, steep banks, hurdles, tree roots and other such obstacles. Competitors complete as many laps of a course that is typically 1-3km long as they can, plus a final lap, in races lasting 40-50 minutes.

Dynamic rides has a growing team of regular CX riders who compete in the West Midlands cyclocross league. Typically, the West Midlands league results are based on your 10 best races out of a possible 12 with prizes awarded at the end of the season for the top 3 riders in each age category. The league caters for all ages from Under 6’s right up to V70+ with all Vet riders (those 40 and over) being in 5 year age categories e.g. V40-44, V45-49, V50-54 etc. We're delighted to have riders in all adult age categories.

We are also very proud that in 2023 we successfully hosted our first cyclocross event for the West Midlands cyclocross league and are already planning for 2024’s event.

Cyclocross is for everybody - it’s for all ages and for all abilities. The sport as a whole is hugely welcoming to newcomers and we at Dynamic Rides are keen to grow our team.
